Supporting Professional Development for Tutors

The College is re-launching its CPD voucher scheme for 2010 / 2011. College tutors can access up to £250 worth of professional development in this academic year. The voucher can be used for training or self-study activities that contribute to your professional development as a tutor with YMCA Wales Community College. 

 

You can redeem the voucher against training that relates to:

 

· The development of your subject knowledge.

· The improvement of your teaching skills. This could include developing your use of technology to prepare learning resources or to enhance delivery.

· The development of expertise in key curriculum priority areas such as basic skills, ESDGC or bilingualism.

¨ The development of other relevant skills such as first aid or health and safety.

 

The professional development may take the form of a training course, self-study or e-learning resources. You may choose to redeem the voucher against the cost of a single activity or several smaller activities. If you would like the College to contribute to the cost of your professional development activities, please contact Becky on 02920 755444 or at
